Acceptance

The acceptance letters for incoming exchange students will be sent out in June or in the middle of November. Soon after we have sent out your Letter of Acceptance over email, you will be sent a welcoming package including most of the information you will need before your arrival.

Arrival and Pick-up service

All our incoming exchange students and visiting students who have gotten a room through HOAS can apply for Soc&koms Pick-up service. This service is not anymore provided for all exchange students coming to University of Helsinki from autumn 2010 onwards, but is a special service for our own new friends in a way to integrate you from the minute you arrive in Helsinki to the Soc&kom world.

We will arrange somebody (usually a student from Soc&kom) to meet you at the airport/harbour/bus- or trainstation as long as we know when you are coming and which key is going to your room in the dorm.

For students who are not staying at HOAS flats we can unfortunately not take care of making sure you will get your key.
