Non-graduate studies at the Swedish School of Social Science

A person that is not registered as a student at the University of Helsinki nor to any other university can be admitted a right for non-graduate studies within the Swedish School of Social Science, example for completion of exam or for professional competence. If you are a degree student somewhere else you may be granted exchange or visiting student statues.

The right for non-graduate studies is admitted for specified study periods or courses and the right to study is valid for a maximum of two years. The right to complete a Bachelors degree in social sciences at the Swedish School of Social Science can not be applied for as a non-graduate student. The maximum of ECTS credits that can be completed in Social work is 25 ECTS credits. The application form for non-graduate (freestanding) studies is found here.

Other documents that the applicant considers relevant may be included. (Transcript of credits, A recommendation by the employer, A copy of degree certificate)

Prices for non-graduate studies
The tuition at the Swedish School of Social Sciences is admission free for students who are registered students at the University of Helsinki. The studies are admission free also for exchange or visiting students at the University of Helsinki who are registered at a home university.

Price list for non-graduate studies at the Swedish School of Social Science is :

10 € per ECTS credit. If you take a course worth 5 ECTS the price is 50€.

The price depends on the number of course credits (ECTS credits) that the right to study is admitting and the studies are to be paid for when applying for the study right. If the right to study is admitted for several courses at the same time the costs are billed cumulatively .
