International cooperation

Background

The research Institute (FISS), the Centre for research on ethnic relations and nationalism (CEREN) and individual researchers and teachers at the Swedish School of Social Science, University of Helsinki take active part in different international research networks, projects and programmes. The Nordic frame of reference is central for both education and research at the Swedish School of Social Science, Universiy of Helsinki and Nordic comparative research is an important part of research at the Research Institute. International cooperation at the European level has also increased during the last decade.

One special feature in the international cooperation is the International Reader arrangement which ties scholars to the SSSS/HU on a professional level and develops research links of a permanent kind in topics central to the Swedish School of Social Science, Universiy of Helsinki.
